Prep Work

Today, Kita-chan and I met up and discussed what we want to do at AX.  The schedule came out recently, and this was the first that time that worked for both of us.  We were also able to work on our costumes more, for details see earlier posts.  And I got to get to know her family more.

All in all, today was very productive.  The costumes are coming out very nicely.  Our semestress does excellent work for which we can never hope to repay.  And the schedule is very full.  This year looks very fun, and I can't wait to meet you all.  I think that was all I wanted to say.

Kiri-chan's Introduction

Greetings, due to technical difficulties and prior engagements, I have been unable to post for the past two days. But I'm back and feel that you should know a little about me.
For starters, I have been working as a harlot for a while now, never mind how long. And due to my seniority, when Kita-chan joined I was assigned as her mentor of sorts. This will be our first year going to a con together where I will be showing her the ropes.  If all goes well, we may become permanent partners. Kita-chan and I make rather good partners mostly because we have radically different personalities. Where Kita-chan is more cutesy, I am more formal. In this way we complement each other.
When I am not working, mostly I enjoy a good book, manga included, but generally I don't watch that much anime simply because I prefer to read rather than watch television. My favorite stories generally include romance and vampires, though I will read anything once. Although, I have yet to find a true scifi that I truly enjoy.  I am also a budding novelist and would be artist. I have only finished one fanfiction, but I have written many original stories. And when I sketch, it is usually only landscapes for my stories.
When all of that becomes too tedious, I either knit or embroider pillows and whatnot.  Many people called me old fashion because of this and some of my other traits and views, and I am fine with that. I am only just eighteen but I am very mature for my age, so I think I am entitled to act as mature as I like.

Kita's Promise

     Hello again my precious and so far, non-existent, Goushujin-sama and Ojou-sama.  This isn't the first time that I have been part of a blog, but I have never been all that great at keeping one up consistently, so it is definitely my goal to change that with this blog.  I promise all of my Goushujin-sama and Ojou-sama that I, Nakura Kita, wil do my best to post something on this blog everyday, even if it is only a little something.  If I do not feel free to get angry with me.
     Unfortunately I haven't really done anything to prepare for Anime Expo today.  Mostly because there isn't much left I need to do to prepare, although, I'll hopefully be making my packing list soon.  I'm so excited!  Day 0 of the convention starts in just 9 days, and I'll be leaving for the convention in just 8.
     Well, not much else to say today... Maybe tomorrow I'll finally start talking about some anime.  Until next time. Ja na.

Kita-chan's Introduction

     Hello again everyone!  Kita here again and I figured that I should introduce myself since I kind of forgot to do that yesterday.
     Well, let's see... I am one of the harlots of anime, as I'm sure that you have already guessed.  I started just earlier this year so like I said in my previous post this is going to be my first year attending a convention while on the job.
     I've always been a huge anime fan.  I already stated in the profile that my favorite anime is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, but I guess that I can tell you all of the other anime that I like too.  Some other favorites of mine are Ao no Exorcist, Durarara, Junjou Romantica, and Uta no Prince-sama.  There are many others that I enjoy as well, but I think that the list would get boring, I'll definitely be talking plenty more about anime as this blog goes on.
      About me... Well, I'm kind of a shy person, but I try to be friendly and nice despite the fact that I tend to get nervous around new people.  I'll definitely try not to let this get in the way while I am on the job at Anime Expo.  Other than anime I really enjoy reading and writing.  I love to sing, although I don't think I'm all that great.  I also like dabbling in armature voice acting... of course that does relate back to anime because I tend to only audition for anime related things.
     My favorite kinds of books are fantasy or anything that has to do with ancient Egypt, I find it utterly fascinating.  When I write, I tend to write romance stories about male/male couples, they also tend to be fantasy or supernatural as well.  I also write lots of fanfiction, mainly all anime related as well.
     Another thing that I love to do is cooking.  It's one of my favorite things to do.  I usually just like baking though.  I love making sweet things for everyone because it just helps cheer people up.
     Well... I think that's all you really need to know about me at the moment.  If there's anything else that I think of that I forgot I'll tell you all tomorrow.
     Now going back to talking about Anime Expo, today I worked on my harlot uniform some more.  I'm almost done with it and then I'll finally be a true harlot, I can't wait.  I hope to work more on my cosplay for the con later today too, but I haven't yet been able to do so.

Kiri's First Post

Greetings.  I am Nakamura Kiri.  And I am a Harlot of anime.  Since Kita-chan has already said that I will be telling you my cosplays at AX this summer, I guess I can.Day zero, I will be going as myself.  Day one of the convention I will be Miku Hatsune of the vocaloids.  Day two I will be the female version of Yukio Okumara, Rin's brother, from Ao no Exorcist or Blue Exorcist.  Day three I will be cosplaying Kia from the yaoi, boyXboy love, visual novel Absolute Obedience.

Kita's First Post

     Hello everyone, Nakura Kita here.  I am one of the two co-founders of the Harlots of Anime.  As said in our previous post today, mainly this blog is going to be Kiri-chan and I talking about how much we love anime and manga and anything else that comes to our minds.
     So, first off, right now Kiri-chan and I are preparing for Anime Expo (AX).  It's in the Los Angles Convention Center from June 29th to July 2nd, and is going to be so much fun.  This will be our first year attending the convention as harlots, but I have been to AX two years previous.  This year I will be in my harlot uniform on Day 0, then on Day 1 I'll be cosplaying as Luka, one of the Vocaloids, Day 2 I'll be cosplaying as a female Rin Okumara from Ao no Exorcist, Day 3 I'll be cosplaying Ittoki Otoya from Uta no Prince-sama, and on Day 4 I'll be cosplaying as Eduard from the yaoi visual novel, Absoulte Obideince.  I'll let Kiri-chan tell you what she's going to cosplay as when she gets the chance.
     Today we were mainly working on getting our uniforms together and I really hope that everyone likes them when they see them; we've been working pretty hard on them.
     Well, I really hope to see all of my Goushujin-sam and Ojou-sama there.  Kiri-chan and I will try and keep all of you posted until the event.  Until tomorrow.  Oyasuminasai.
